Florida Governor Ron DeSantis unloaded on Russian President Vladimir Putin this week; labeling the Moscow leader as an “authoritarian gas station attendant with some legacy nuclear weapons.”
“This is a guy who’s basically an authoritarian gas station attendant with some legacy nuclear weapons from the old Soviet Union. Their whole society is hallowed out except for energy. If you want to hit him, hit him at the gas pump. Hit him with energy,” said DeSantis.
Putin’s invasion of Ukraine has sparked global condemnation.
In the aftermath of the aggression, Russia is now limited in the global financial community, its airplanes can no longer fly over Europe or Canada, and members of the EU are publicly arming Ukrainian soldiers with anti-tank and anti-aircraft weaponry.
In a show of force Mr. Putin raised his nuclear forces to “high alert” for the first time since the Cuban Missile Crisis.
