Kind of an amazing statement, yet so true for many. I live my life under the assumption that most people are blind to skin color, ethnic background and gender. Not literally blind as if we don’t notice our very interesting differences — but, blind to those differences meaning someone is above or below us because of them. As I continue through this great journey in my life and as I watch my daughters (18, 17 and 9 now) growing into adulthood, it becomes more obvious to me that racism still exists in our country, but thankfully, it’s easier to identify those who are spewing this hatred.
At this writing, it’s almost 15 months since President Barack Obama took office. This was to be the first president in the so-called “post-racial” America. No longer would Americans notice skin color or racial/ethnic background in politics. We would, from now on, ONLY focus on agenda or ideology. So, that’s what we did. I gave this president a clean slate on January 20, 2009. He quickly filled it with policies most of America and I have great disdain for. From an executive order allowing for American taxpayer dollars to finance international abortions, to 862 billion dollars in government expansion, pork and overwhelming power and control to apologizing to any and every one who would listen to bowing to the rest of the world; it’s quickly become obvious to most of us that this president is nothing less than a socialist who believes he’s smarter than us all and he’s got one goal — to end American exceptionalism and change the very successful way Americans have lived for generations.
I’ve been saying that for some time — and many of you have called my shows and emailed with similar feelings. Because we’ve dared to look past race and focus on the actual job this president and his administration are doing, we’ve been summarily called racists. The Tea Party movement started and the incredibly intelligent elites (Janeane Garofalo) said this MUST be a bunch of people who hate that there’s a black man in the White House. I could name all of those who’ve spewed such hatred, but that would take up too much of your valuable time. Suffice it to say, the big media, Hollywood community, labor unions and members of this ever-expanding government have locked in to a tactic: don’t use honest debate to get your point across. Attack attack and attack again. Use any and all low-life tactics you can muster to try to knock those who are complaining about this impending tyranny.
How far will they go? Instead of answering.. I’ll give you a link to a call I got today on my morning show at KPRC “The 9-5-0” in Houston. Listen as a man who identifies himself as a black liberal launches into an attack on two black conservatives who dared go to the North Houston Tea Party.
