A handful of prominent Democrats publicly blamed Republicans for the tragic school shooting in southern Texas Wednesday; saying conservatives support laws that enable mass shootings and other gun-related tragedies.
“14 children and a teacher dead. Another shooting. And the GOP won’t do a damn thing about it. Who the hell are we if we cannot keep our kids safe. This is preventable. Our inaction is a choice. We need nationwide, comprehensive, commonsense gun safety NOW,” posted Gavin Newsom on social media hours after the assault.

“Imagine how many children wouldn’t be slaughtered in school if being pro-life was more than just a talking point for Republicans in Congress,” added Adam Schiff.
