Ryan Petty -the father of a daughter tragically killed in a mass shooting- spoke with Joe Pagliarulo this week to discuss the vital lessons America needs to learn from the massacre in Uvalde, Texas.
“You’re watching what was happening in Uvalde, can you expand on that a little bit?” asked Pags.
“I love law enforcement. They run towards danger when the rest of us run away from it. I want to support law enforcement. I appreciate what they do… However, what I saw in that Uvalde video shook me to the core,” said Petty.
“I saw 19 law enforcement officers standing outside a school while shots were being fired. Children in there dying. Many seemed casual. This is not what we expect from law enforcement,” he added.
