The FBI has issued a public plea for assistance in identifying and capturing those responsible for the violent assault and abduction of the individuals in Matamoros, Tamaulipas.
The Americans were last seen on March 3, 2023, crossing into Mexico in a white minivan. Shortly after crossing, they were fired upon by unknown assailants, leading to their capture and transport in another vehicle.
Four Americans have been assaulted and kidnapped by armed men after crossing the border into Mexico, the FBI announced.

CBS News shared footage of the incident, which shows a black woman being loaded into the back of a pickup truck, along with three injured males being dragged to the bed of the truck.
The U.S. Embassy in Mexico City has confirmed the incident and stated that the FBI is offering a reward of $50,000 for information leading to the safe return of the victims and the arrest of those responsible.
