The White House has set a “troubling precedent”  by not allowing one of the largest newspaper companies in America from attending an event on Monday where President Biden was attending.

The New York Post was excluded from Monday’s event and according to the outlet, they were also denied access to the President’s airline accountability remarks. Could this be because the New York Post is actually reporting the news that other main stream media outlets refuse to cover? In October 2020, the New York Post reported the Hunter Biden laptop story and was excoriated by the main stream media and Biden campaign for even raising the question, however the story turned out to be completely true.

Is the Biden White House trying to exclude the New York Post because of possible indictments coming against Biden’s son Hunter in the near future and is this their way of beginning damage control?

According to an email from the White House staff, “We are unable to accommodate your credential request to attend the Investing in Airline Accountability Remarks on 5/8. The remarks will be live-streamed and can be viewed at WH.gov. Thank you for understanding. We will let you know if a credential becomes available.”

The New York Post has reported numerous times that Biden “falsely characterized [their] reporting as Russian disinformation,” which, “ultimately took no shouted questions at the venue, which houses the set of a ‘fake’ White House and about 50 theater-style seats for reporters — about 20 of which were empty Monday.”

According to the “nation’s second-most-read newspaper online and as of last year…fifth-largest print circulation” the stonewalling has only just begun. “The White House did not respond to questions from The Post about the exclusion from Monday’s presidential event. At least two other journalists initially were barred, but the press office relented and let one of them in.”

The editorial board of the New York Post recently published why they believe White House staff are “afraid to let a Post reporter question Biden” arguing “Guesses include the staff wanting to shield the prez from questions about Hunter, as prosecutors move to decide on charging the first son for tax fraud and other crimes. Or maybe they fear he’ll blow up if asked about the border, or the debt.”

The main stream media has not addressed this major issue and Joe Concha explained it best in a tweet saying “It’s been so nice to see the rest of the journalism community stand up for The Post here after… Oh, wait.”

The Post also pointed out “In June 2022, 73 journalists representing nearly two-thirds of White House briefing room seats signed a letter demanding the end of the mysterious prescreening process for events.” However the restrictions remained without explanation.

“In addition to prescreening reporters let into Biden’s events — which critics say sets a troubling precedent for press access — the White House moved Friday to close a longstanding legal loophole that prevented authorities from stripping reporters of press badges and unveiled a formal process to do so.”
