Rushingbrook Children’s Choir Director David Rasbach speaks out and the story we get from him is very different than what we heard the day the Capitol Police stopped his choir from finishing the National Anthem.
“You went through every task they asked for three months. You get there, then you sing. Then what happened?” asked Joe Pags.
“At the end of the first verse, people started to applaud. We continued into another verse,” explained Rasbach.
“When we got to the final phrase of the National Anthem, I was tapped on the shoulder and told to cut the choir off,” he added. “I was told by the Capital Police this was considered an ‘act of demonstration.’”
