Democrat New York City Mayor Eric Adams decided to issue flyers throughout the southern United States border with Mexico warning that NYC is full and will be unable to accept anymore illegal immigrants into their “sanctuary” city.

According to Adams, NYC has “no more room” for any migrants seeking asylum and current migrants in the city will be removed from housing after 60 days.  Since spring 2022, approximately 90,000 migrants have come to NYC and 54,800 still remain in the care of the city receiving taxpayer funded services.

The flyer put out by Adams will read, “There is no guarantee we will be able to provide shelter and services to new arrivals. Housing in NYC is very expensive. Please consider another city as you make your decision about where to settle in the U.S.”

Mayor Adams issued the 60 day shelter rule as the city endures a surge in migrant arrivals and is unable to find housing for anymore. Currently, NYC has placed migrants in hotels, old jail buildings, and other city owned-buildings.  Adams says NYC is at “full capacity” and desperately needs aid from the federal government, which still denies that there is a crisis at the southern border.

“This cannot continue. It’s not sustainable, and we’re not going to pretend as though it is sustainable,” Adams pleaded to reporters. “This is wrong that New York City is carrying the weight of a national problem. We stated several months ago that we’ve reached full capacity. We have no more room in this city and need help from the federal government.”
