Congressman Matt Gaetz started the debate and vote to vacate the Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
Did he want to? Could it have been avoided? What’s next? Could it be Trump? Jordan? Scalise? Great conversation.
“We’ve got a great opportunity to rebuild this Republican majority as a fighting force. We have great options to choose from for Speaker of the House. The best is yet to come,” began Gaetz.
“There are some people from your party who think you did it to get attention… How do you respond to that?” asked Joe Pags.
“Honestly, I pity them. Far too many of them are here doing favors for the lobbyists who fund their campaigns… I’ve disrupted that. People are sore about it. My job is to put the interest of the American people first,” said the Congressman.
