Congressman Andy Biggs was one of the eight to vote Kevin McCarthy out of the Speaker’s chair. He explains why and what he wants going forward. Great information.

“You had the vote to vacate. It was successful to get Kevin McCarthy out of the Speaker’s chair. In January, this was the deal. The guy just didn’t do it. Right?” asked Joe Pags.

“It was a sad thing. I wish we didn’t have to do it. But if you’re going to make changes, sometimes that’s painful,” explained Biggs.

“I did not expect the vote to be successful because I thought the Democrats would vote to keep McCarthy. He gave them the debt ceiling. He gave Joe Biden things he wanted,” he added. “I was a bit surprised.”
