Joe Pags looks like back on the message of Martin Luther King Junior as America celebrates the slain Civil Rights leader.
“Martin Luther King Junior is a much used figure in our history. People on every side will use him as a symbol of their side,” began Pags.
“He said a lot of things. His general message was not revenge against America… He looked at our country in a simple way. We made a promise when we formed this country. That all men were created equal. He never once talked about revenge,” he added.
“He talked about equality,” concluded Pags.
