“When Ken Buck decided to resign, I received a lot of phone calls from a lot of different people. I looked at it, and I recognized that most of the people who wanted to be in the special election also wanted to be in the November election,” began Lopez.
“I wanted to give people another option… I’m not looking to serve in the next Congress, but to finish the term of the last Congress. So that’s what I’m doing,” he added.
