Who’s telling the truth? Not the Democrats! Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) joined Joe Pags to pull back the curtain on the “Rube Goldberg contraption” known as Obamacare. If your premiums are skyrocketing, it’s not because Republicans “don’t like people”—it’s because the system was rigged for big insurance from day one.
“United Healthcare, the largest health insurance company, their stock has increased 1,177% since the passage of Obamacare,” Johnson revealed. While you’re struggling, insurance companies are “making out like bandits.” The Senator explained that the current system incentivizes high prices: “Everybody’s getting a cut… you’d much rather sell that $100,000 house for a million bucks, right?”
The real kicker? The “enhanced subsidies” Democrats are screaming to extend. Johnson exposed a massive fraud involving roughly six million “phantom accounts.” These are policies signed up by unscrupulous agents without the person’s knowledge! “Insurance companies get the premiums… and the American taxpayer is left holding the bag.”
Pags noted that insurance companies didn’t squawk in 2009 because “the federal government is the easiest consumer to fleece.” Meanwhile, premiums have increased an average of 169% since implementation, while inflation only rose 39%. That is “4.3 times the rate of inflation!”
But the corruption doesn’t stop there. Johnson detailed a “massive shell game” in states like California, where Medicaid dollars are funneled through provider tax refunds to pay for healthcare for illegal aliens. “Of course they are,” Johnson said regarding taxpayer-funded care for illegals.
So, what’s the fix?
