Hillary Clinton sat for a closed-door deposition Thursday before the House Oversight Committee as part of its investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein — telling investigators she does not recall ever meeting him.
The hearing briefly ground to a halt after Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) leaked a photo from inside the room to conservative influencer Benny Johnson, which Democrats called a rules violation. Democrats seized on the moment to blast Republicans as running a "clown show" more interested in photo ops than accountability.
Boebert, unbothered, fired back with a pointed jab — telling reporters she had just returned to her hotel room to install BleachBit software, adding: "I do not recall" — a nod to Clinton's infamous use of the phrase during the 2016 email server scandal.
Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) noted that video of the full deposition will be made available for review by both sides.
