Congressman Chip Roy blasted his colleagues in Congress Thursday for writing a “blank check” to Kyiv, saying he supports Ukrainians but represents Americans.
“I support Ukrainians, but I represent Americans… They want us to do our job responsibility. When the other party says a ‘time of war.’ When did we vote to go to war? We’re going to have a proxy war and send $40 billion to Ukraine? We should actually have a debate in this chamber,” said Roy.
“We have $30.5 trillion in debt, gas prices are spiking, then we write a blank check to Ukraine,” added the Congressman.
