A wild scenario that once seemed like a comical rumor could be frighteningly close to coming true. With the announcement of Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer’s retirement, “speculation ramped up that President Biden could tap embattled Vice President Kamala Harris to replace him.”

With a horrendous display in their first year in the White House, some have suggested if President Joe Biden could place vice president Kamala Harris in the Supreme Court, he would then be free to choose a new running mate which could up his chances for reelection.

While on the campaign trail, Biden made the promise that he would place a Black female on the Supreme Court if he had the chance. Not only would Harris fulfill that promise, having a “less tainted” vice president on the ticket with him may reignite the Democratic base.

Trump’s former press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said of the notion, “I think it’s a theory that could be credible.” While co-hosting “Outnumbered” on Fox News Wednesday, McEnany discussed the potential with co-host Harris Faulkner.

“It’s hard not to see, at least, [Harris] makes the list,” said Faulkner regarding Biden’s promise to pick a Black woman. “They don’t know what to do with Kamala Harris in the White House right now, I can’t be the only person seeing this,” said Faulkner.

McEnany responded, “I think you’re right” and the possibility “was playing in my mind from the moment we heard about his retirement.” She added, “I think she’s at least on the shortlist.” Because, “politically speaking, If you are not happy with your vice president, and you want her in a different role there’s no greater role than on the Supreme Court.”

White House press secretary Jen Psaki dodged the questions alluding to a Harris nomination saying “I’m not going to speak to any considerations, preparations, lists.” She added Biden “has every intention as he said before, of running for re-election and for running for re-election with Vice President Harris on the ticket as his partner.”
