A political frenzy occurred today when Mark Zuckerberg, founder of FaceBook and Meta, admitted that top officials from the Biden/Harris Administration coerced them into censoring possible damaging information and commentary regarding Joe Biden and the handling of COVID-19. So why did Mark Zuckerberg finally admit this pressure from the Democrats? Well, Congress is closing in on the investigation in government coercion on social media platforms and he basically threw the Biden-Harris administration "under the bus," while claiming he regretted silencing the voices of Americans and critics of the government. “Ultimately, it was our decision whether or not to take content down, and we own our decisions, including COVID-19-related changes we made to our enforcement in the wake of this pressure. I believe the government pressure was wrong, and I regret that we were not more outspoken,” Zuckerberg wrote in a letter. The admission of guilt by FaceBook instantly went viral on social media where numerous Republicans claimed they were censored and shadow banned, Trump supporters silenced, and numerous critics of Covid protocols censored. The Biden-Harris White House immediately responded to critics at Fox News defending their CENSORSHIP
“When confronted with a deadly pandemic, this administration encouraged responsible actions to protect public health and safety. Our position has been clear and consistent: we believe tech companies and other private actors should take into account the effects their actions have on the American people, while making independent choices about the information they present.”
