The FBI is intensifying efforts across the U.S. to dismantle the online child-exploitation network known as "764," which preys on minors by coercing them into “acts of violence, self-harm, animal abuse, suicide, and sexual abuse,” Fox News reports. FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino highlighted the severity of the network, which infiltrates platforms popular with children such as Discord, Telegram, and Roblox to recruit and manipulate victims. Since early this year, the FBI has ramped up investigations, with over 300 cases connected nationwide and growing.

Recent enforcement actions include the arrest of an individual in Baltimore charged with targeting five minors, including a 13-year-old, and an indictment in Arizona involving nine victims aged 11 to 15. The suspect is now in federal custody, according to Bongino.

Allegations against network affiliates include distributing child pornography, cyberstalking, animal cruelty, and conspiring to support terrorists. "764" originated in 2021, founded by Texas teenager Bradley "Felix" Cadenhead, and forms part of a broader ecosystem called "The COM," encompassing violent online communities.

The FBI emphasizes that this is a critical and insufficiently recognized issue in America and urges parents to vigilantly monitor their children's online activities and consider safeguards to limit exposure to such networks. Authorities remain committed to eradicating "764," describing it as a top priority with ongoing progress yet significant work ahead. Bongino vowed that the FBI will "keep working day and night to destroy this network.”
