A federal law enforcement officer in Minneapolis was seriously injured when an anti-ICE protester allegedly bit off part of his finger during unrest following a Border Patrol-involved shooting.

Officials shared images showing the injured officer and two people taken into custody, though it has not been confirmed which person was responsible for the assault.

The incident occurred amid ongoing demonstrations in the city after federal agents fatally shot a man during an enforcement operation. Violence erupted as tensions ran high, leading to clashes between protesters and federal personnel.

In response to the escalating situation, Minnesota authorities mobilized National Guard troops to support security efforts at key federal facilities.
The officer is expected to lose the finger, and authorities continue to investigate the violent confrontation and subsequent protests.
