New polling conducted by the Daily Mail in Iowa shows a large majority of Republicans believe that the country is headed in the wrong direction, want President Joe Biden impeached for his alleged crimes, and believe overall the country is changing into a modern-like Nazi Germany.

The Daily Mail has reported “more than three-quarters of Republicans in Iowa want Congress to immediately start the impeachment of President Joe Biden over links to his son Hunter’s shady foreign business deals.”

“The survey conducted by J.L. Partners found that 77 percent of GOP supporters who are likely to attend January’s highly-anticipated Iowa state caucuses want the president investigated over his family finances,” the Daily Mail found.

Those surveyed also demonstrated major concerns with the impeachment process of Biden as Republicans believe that it would distract from the highly anticipated and crucial 2024 presidential election.  The poll was conducted about a week after the damning testimony from Hunter Biden’s business partner Devon Archer before Congress where he explained that the Biden family business collected at least $20 million from foreign adversaries such as Russia, China and Kazakhstan.

It is now up to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to decide whether there is enough evidence against President Biden in order to begin impeachment hearings or listen to those who believe that impeaching Biden would only act as a distraction from the 2024 election and possibly giving more motivation to Democrats to show up and vote.

According to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, he believes that the latter is true and said in a statement “I said two years ago, when we had not one but two impeachments, that once we go down this path it incentivizes the other side to do the same thing. Impeachment ought to be rare. This is not good for the country.”

Amongst Trump supporters, the Daily Mail’s poll couldn’t be more clear, “The proportion of those who want an immediate start rockets to 95 percent. That drops to 79 percent among supporters of Ron DeSantis and 74 percent with backers of Tim Scott.”
