A new report from Fox News is shedding more light on the battle between School Boards across the United States and upset parents. Documents show the National School Boards Association wanted the White House to use the military to silence “domestic terrorism.”
“Early demands from the National School Boards Association to the White House included calling for the deployment of the Army National Guard and the military police to monitor school board meetings, according to an early draft letter the organization’s independent review released Friday,” reports Fox News.
An early draft of the final letter states, “We ask that the Army National Guard and its Military Police be deployed to certain school districts and related events where students and school personnel have been subjected to acts and threats of violence.”
The early draft also calls parents concerned about the promotion of Critical Race Theory “plotters who are targeting schools and educators.”
“An increasing number of public school officials is facing physical threats because of propaganda purporting the inclusion of critical race theory within classroom instruction and curricula,” wrote the School Board Association.

As a 20-year tenured Teacher [Regular & Special Education] and Principal, I’m dismayed and crestfallen that any school board would refer to their student’s parents as “..terrorists!” Parents are our student’s FIRST & FOREMOST Teachers, a role schools can never supplant, nor should they try!! Parents MUST be allied and LISTENED TO in the role of educating America’s Youth. SHAME on ANY School Board for even thinking such vileness, let alone acting upon such disgraceful measures. May more rational & sage heads prevail..!!!

Once again, the stochastic terrorism of the right wing is having the desired effect on people. Educators are being threatened by propaganda-driven bullies. We have parents in this country that are convinced that children are being taught CRT in grade school. This is a LIE! Teaching the history of slavery in the United States is not CRT. Teaching that racism was codified into law (red-lining practices in banking; “separate but equal” via Plessy v. Ferguson; stop-and-frisk laws, etc.) is not CRT. These things happened. They are an unfortunate part of our history. Teaching them at an age-appropriate level should be a part of every child’s education. The good news is that we, in general, have seen the error of our ways and changed laws to NOT discriminate against anyone. It’s ok to admit we made mistakes. No person or government institution is perfect. And teaching that is not teaching hate. It is teaching acceptance and growth and change for the better.
CRT does not exist in any grade school curriculum. Please stop threatening teachers and let them do their job.
