President Joe Biden pardoned the White House turkeys today but his policies have been a disaster for Americans' ability to put food on the table this Thanksgiving.
The president pardoned a pair of turkeys during a ceremony at the White House but the message couldn't be more clear that it has become more and more difficult to afford groceries this Thanksgiving as inflation skyrocketed under his Administration.
American's food budgets were squeezed to the limit with record high inflation and the "Bidenomics" policies implemented proving to be a disaster.
The American Farm Bureau Federation released an annual Thanksgiving report which showed an average American dinner for the holiday feeding 10 people would cost $58.08 or $5.80 per person for the traditional dishes of turkey, stuffing, cranberries, rolls, and sweet potatoes.
Currently, a 16-pound turkey will cost an American family $25.67, not to mention the increased prices of dinner rolls and pumpkin pie filling around $4.15 each. The Farm Bureau notes that prices are down since 2022 when the average cost for a dinner was $64.06 but "“a Thanksgiving meal is still 19% higher than it was in 2019,” during the Trump Administration.
The main stream media of course ran the misleading headline of dropping grocery prices and how American's should be happy that things are affordable again, but it's still costs almost 20% more than when Trump was in office.
“You may not know it by looking at sticker prices in grocery aisles, but Thanksgiving dinner is more affordable than it has been in years,” said NBC News trying to change the narrative, but American's voted for a change and the media can't hide it.
