Former Republican New York City Mayoral Candidate Curtis Sliwa spoke with Joe ‘Pags’ Pagliarulo Thursday about the state of the Big Apple, saying the nation’s biggest metropolis is one giant “hot mess.”
“My city is a hot mess. Anybody could have done a better job than Bill de Blasio. But the stats have actually skyrocketed in the first two months of the Eric Adams administration. He seems lost. He doesn’t have a plan,” explained Sliwa.
“How can the city get worse than it was under de Blasio?” asked Pags.
“A lot of New Yorkers are confused,” said the Republican. “He doesn’t want to deal with the heart of the problem, and he dances around it. The voters need to be protected. The vast majority of subway riders and those who travel in the streets do not feel safe at all.”
