Former Mafia-member, pastor, and author Michael Franzese spoke with Joe ‘Pags’ Pagliarulo this week to discuss his new book, actor Ray Liotta, and the unprecedented level of corruption in American politics.
“I’ve been noticing this trend for years. I’ve dealt with politicians. I’ve never seen this level of corruption. It’s so obvious, it’s out in the open,” said Franzese.
“They’re doing it better than we did because they create the laws that shield them from getting in trouble,” he explained. “We paid them off, they were willing to do that. What I’m seeing now, I’ve never seen this much corruption in my life.”
“Back then they used to try and hide it. Now it’s right there in the open. They’re fighting, it all trickles down from the top to the bottom. This country is divided because of them, not because of us,” concluded the ex-mobster.
