Senator Rand Paul spoke with Joe ‘Pags’ Pagliarulo this week to discuss Joe Biden, the nation’s fight against the covid pandemic, and the true meaning of President’s Day.
“Being outside of DC is always a pleasure. The only time the taxpayer is safe is when Congress is not in session,” said Paul from his home in Kentucky.
“I interviewed your dad when he ran for President, any aspirations for you?” asked Pags.
“I was there in 2016 but I was one of 16. I was on the margin of the stage. One of the problems we have with the debates is they’re based purely on polling,” explained Paul. “I got fifth place in Iowa but then CNN said I couldn’t be in the next debate because I wasn’t polling well in New Hampshire.”
“Should there be a limit? I think 16 was too many,” fired-back Pags.
“How do you decide? It could be even worse if people select the candidates,” answered the Republican Senator. “I don’t know that there’s an easy answer.”
