Police in New York City are now searching for the suspected gunman who launched a rush-hour rampage Tuesday morning that left at least 10 people shot and another six seriously injured.
“First, let me say we’re praying for all New Yorkers who were injured or affected by today’s attack. So far, we know that we have a multiple number of injuries, including victims of gunshot wounds,” said New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
“I wish to thank all of the first responders who responded to the scene or at the local hospitals, helping with today’s incident. You are what make New York the greatest city in the world, and I thank you for supporting your fellow New Yorkers.”
“No more mass shootings. No more disrespecting lives. No more creating heartbreak for people just trying to live their lives as normal New Yorkers. It has to end. It ends now,” added New York Governor Kathy Hochul.
