Popular pollster Ann Selzer  has caught the attention of President-elect Donald Trump who has called for a complete investigation  into the highly questionable Iowa poll released days before the November election.

President-elect Donald Trump announced that a lawsuit has been filed against the newspaper where Selzer published the Iowa poll released seemingly to sway the election. When Trump was asked about Selzer he described her as a “very, very good pollster who got me right all the time,” but he noted “just before the election, she said I was going to lose by three or four points.”

Trump held a press conference at Mar-a-Lago where he told the press, “In my opinion, it was fraud, and it was election interference. You know, she’s got me right always. She’s a very good pollster. She knows what she was doing.”

The newspaper, The Des Moines Register, published the poll back in November and has denied that the polling results were intentionally rigged. Selzer appeared on PBS’s ‘Iowa Press’ claiming, “I am mystified about what the motivation anybody thinks I had and would act on in such a public poll.”

“So, the idea that I intentionally set up to deliver this response, when I’ve never done that before, I’ve had plenty of opportunities to do it, it’s not my ethic,” Selzer asserted.

“To suggest without a single shred of evidence that I was in cahoots with somebody, I was being paid by somebody, it’s all just kind of … it’s hard to pay too much attention to it except that they are accusing me of a crime,” she said.

Trump ended up winning Iowa but wrote on Truth Social  “A totally Fake poll that caused great distrust and uncertainty at a very critical time.”

“She knew exactly what she was doing. Thank you to the GREAT PEOPLE OF IOWA for giving me such a record breaking vote, despite possible ELECTION FRAUD by Ann Selzer and the now discredited ‘newspaper’ for which she works,” he said. “An investigation is fully called for!”
