White House Staffer Cassidy Hutchinson told the January 6th Committee Tuesday that President Trump “lunged” at Secret Service Agents when they refused to escort him to the US Capitol, an allegation sources say will soon be refuted by agents.

“Both Bobby Engel, the top agent on Trump’s Secret Service detail who was in the car, and Ornato, who was not in the car, testified to the January 6 Committee in private over the past year, the source close to Ornato said,” reports Fox News.

“Engel and Ornato never brought up part about steering wheel, according to that source. Both want to testify on the record again and refute the part about Trump grabbing or trying to grab the wheel. The driver of the SUV, who is unnamed, will also cooperate with the committee,” adds Fox.

“I looked at Tony, and he had said, ‘did you f-ing hear what happened in the Beast?'” Hutchinson recalled. “I said, ‘no Tony, I just got back, what happened?’ Tony proceeded to tell me that when the president got in the Beast, he was under the impression that the off-the-record movement to the Capitol was still possible, and likely to happen, but that Bobby had more information.”

“So once the president had gotten into the vehicle with Bobby, he thought that they were going up to the Capitol, and when Bobby had relayed to him, ‘we’re not, you don’t have the assets to do it, it’s not secure, we’re going back to the West Wing,’ the president had a very strong, very angry response to that.”
