Tyler Robinson, 22, has been identified as a staunch leftist and Antifa supporter who openly expressed animosity toward Charlie Kirk. According to reports, Robinson was living with his transgender partner, Lance Twiggs, 22. In a 2022 Reddit post, Twiggs declared, “We are riding with Biden.”
The pair allegedly shared a sexual interest in “furries,” a subculture involving anthropomorphic animal characters, with online photos showing Twiggs wearing animal-themed headgear.
Kirk, a 31-year-old conservative activist, was fatally shot in the throat while answering an audience question about transgender mass shooters. When asked, “Do you know how many transgender Americans have been mass shooters over the last 10 years?” Kirk responded, “Too many,” before being struck by a bullet.
The New York Post reports that the following day, podcaster Steven Crowder shared what he described as an ATF report, claiming the ammunition used bore messages reflecting “transgender and anti-fascist ideology.” The Utah County Sheriff’s Office later confirmed details about the weapon, describing a Mauser bolt action rifle with a scope that was discovered wrapped in a towel and hidden near the crime scene.
“One spent cartridge, three live rounds recovered,” the sheriff’s report stated. “Investigators noted inscriptions that had been engraved on casings found with the rifle. Inscriptions on a fired casing read ‘Notices Buldge OWO what’s this?’
“Inscriptions on the three unfired casings read: ‘hey fascist! CATCH!’ A second unfired casing read ‘O Bella ciao, Bella ciao, Bella ciao, Ciao, ciao!’ A third unfired casing read ‘if you read This, you are GAY Lmao’.”
The phrase “Notices Buldge [sic] OWO what’s this?” is reportedly a meme linked to both the furry and transgender communities. The “Antifa” references, however, were more explicit. Journalist Andy Ngo stated that ‘O Bella ciao, Bella ciao, Bella ciao, Ciao, ciao!’ has long been “probably the most important rallying song to Antifa militants for decades.”
Ngo noted that Antifa member Willem Van Spronsen cited “Bella Ciao” in his manifesto before his fatal 2019 attack on an ICE facility in Tacoma, Washington. He has also documented what he calls “Trantifa,” a fusion of transgender and Antifa radicalism, which he says played a role in escalating violence during the 2020 protests.
According to Ngo, this movement has been largely overlooked by federal authorities and mainstream outlets. He cites, among other examples, a radical trans-Antifa group accused of killing a U.S. Border Patrol agent near the Canadian border earlier this year.
The New York Post writes that polling indicates that while a majority of Americans support personal freedoms for adults, roughly 80 percent oppose measures such as allowing biological males to compete in women’s sports, teaching gender ideology to children, or providing puberty blockers and surgical procedures to minors.
