Vice President Kamala Harris continues to run towards the middle ground to gain voters, backtracking so many prior radical left statements yet refusing to answer any questions about what her true positions are.
When Harris first ran for president in 2019, she promised the American people that she would immediately take executive action to allow over 2 million people or “dreamers” that were brought into the country illegally as children, a pathway to American citizenship. Now the Harris campaign refuses to answer or downplay prior statements regarding her position because of the overall massive influx of illegal immigrants into this country.
The American public strongly believes that illegal immigration is hurting this country and recent video has resurfaced of Kamala Harris in 2019 explaining her position. “Every day in the life of a Dreamer who fears deportation is a long day. Dreamers cannot afford to sit around and wait for Congress to get its act together. Their lives are on the line.”
Axios contacted the Harris campaign for reaction and a blunt answer regarding her position on the “Dreamers.” The campaign responded with evasive answers to a simple question.
Ian Sams of the Harris campaign said, “The vice president has fought for Dreamers throughout her career and is proud of the actions taken under her and President Biden to expand protections for them, including the executive action President Biden took this year, which she supported.” Axios asked the campaign for a “brief interview” with Harris to explain her position but the campaign denied their request. Not surprising given that the campaign is in hide and don’t seek mode.
Sams described her position as “she’ll continue to protect Dreamers while also pushing the bipartisan border deal that will dramatically strengthen border security.”
Just more non-answers.
