White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked by reporters this week whether a plan is in place to transfer power from President Biden to Kamala Harris should his fight with COVID-19 take a turn for the worse.
REPORTER: "Is there a plan in place to transfer power to Vice President Harris if the president's situation gets worse?"
KJP: "He's able to do the business of the American people from the residence, and that's what matters right now."

“Is there a plan in place to transfer power to Vice President Harris if the president’s situation gets worse?” asked one journalist during the daily press briefing.
“He has mild symptoms. He’s able to do the business of the American people from the residence, and that’s what matters right now,” fired back Jean-Pierre.
“So, there’s no plan in place then?” press the reporter.
