The Biden family has now officially received subpoenas to appear before the House Oversight Committee and the White House is fuming mad.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) issued subpoenas related to the ongoing investigation of alleged corruption and influence-peddling by President Biden and numerous members of his family.  Comer posted a video of him signing the documents to X.

The subpoenas were issued to President Biden’s son Hunter Biden, brother James Biden, and family associate Rob Walker who are all ordered to give depositions before Congress.

According to a statement from the Chairman’s office, “Chairman Comer plans to send additional subpoenas and transcribed interview requests later this week” to more members of the Biden family and associates.

“The House Oversight Committee has followed the money and built a record of evidence revealing how Joe Biden knew, was involved, and benefited from his family’s influence peddling schemes. Now, the House Oversight Committee is going to bring in members of the Biden family and their associates to question them on this record of evidence,” Chairman Comer said.

“Unlike the many lies President Biden told the American people about his family’s business schemes, bank records don’t lie. These records reveal how the Bidens sold Joe Biden around to the world to benefit the Biden family, including Joe Biden himself, to the detriment of U.S. interests. The House Oversight Committee, along with the Committees on Judiciary and Ways and Means, will continue to follow the facts and deliver the transparency and accountability that the American people demand and deserve,”he said.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre responded to the formal issuing of subpoenas by regurgitating the same “no evidence” talking point when the evidence is becoming extremely overwhelming and hard to defend.

“This is an investigation that has been going on for a year now and has turned up zero evidence of wrongdoing by the president, because there is none,” the press secretary said. “But, Republicans continue to double down on a baseless, baseless smear campaign against the president and his family instead of being focused on the American people’s needs, what they’re asking for, what is it that they truly want us to focus on — they continue to double down on this.”

The White House also reacted to the news, releasing a statement attacking Chairman Comer.

The White House also released a statement trying to attack Chairman Comer which stated, “Turn on Fox News, and you’re more likely to see a House Republican talking about the President’s family than making life better for American families.”

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan said bluntly in a statement, “President Biden and his administration have continually changed their stories throughout this inquiry. You know who’s been consistent? The IRS whistleblowers. With each piece of evidence we gather, their whistleblower accounts are corroborated. These subpoenas are a necessary next step as House Republicans deliver accountability for the American people.”
