Congressman Jim Jordan joined Joe Pags for a no-holds-barred discussion on some of the most pressing issues facing the country under President Trump’s administration. From Trump’s aggressive tariff strategy to the battle over birthright citizenship and the left’s attempts to protect USAID’s controversial spending, Jordan provided sharp analysis on the policies shaping America’s future.

One of the key topics was Trump’s renewed push for tariffs against countries that take advantage of American trade policies. Jordan pointed out how the mere threat of tariffs has already forced major concessions from U.S. trading partners. “All that factors into … the president of Mexico, the prime minister of Canada saying, ‘Shazzam—we think we will work with you now, President Trump, after you’ve threatened the tariffs,’” Jordan said, illustrating how Trump’s hardline stance is getting results.

The conversation then shifted to immigration and the push to reform birthright citizenship and chain migration. Jordan argued that the current system is being exploited by those who come to the U.S. illegally just to have a child, only to leave and claim American citizenship for their newborn. “I think it’s common sense … that’s the key section in the 14th Amendment—subject to the jurisdiction thereof,” he explained. He questioned whether people in the U.S. illegally are truly under U.S. jurisdiction. “Are people here illegally truly part of the jurisdiction of the United States? No,” he stated, adding, “That’s not what the 14th Amendment was about.” Jordan compared the situation to foreign diplomats, saying, “If a diplomat comes here and they have a child, they’re not subject to the jurisdiction of America.”

Border security was also at the forefront of the discussion, with Jordan emphasizing the importance of supporting President Trump’s efforts to enforce immigration law. “Step one is to get him the resources so he can execute those orders,” Jordan said, pushing back against local and state officials who refuse to cooperate with federal law enforcement. “Local and state officials who are hindering federal law enforcement, lawful activities—that’s a problem,” he added, stressing that enforcement needs to be prioritized at all levels of government.

Finally, Jordan took aim at the extreme left, describing how radical elements have taken over the Democratic Party. He warned that the left will do everything possible to block Trump’s policies, calling their agenda “crazy,” and argues that it’s crucial for conservatives to stay engaged and keep the pressure on lawmakers to act.

With major battles ahead on trade, immigration, and government spending, Jordan made it clear that the fight is far from over. His conversation with Pags laid out what’s coming next, why conservatives must remain vigilant, and how President Trump’s policies are already forcing changes at home and abroad.
