Vice President Kamala Harris was publicly ridiculed Thursday after breaking-out in laughter when asked to comment on Ukrainian refugees trying to flee Vladimir Putin’s brutal invasion.
“I’m wondering what the United States is going to do more specifically to set up a permanent infrastructure and, relatedly, is the United States willing to make a special allocation for Ukrainian refugees?” the reporter asked Harris.
“A friend in need is a friend indeed,” said Harris while cracking-up.
Her comments were immediately panned by both Democrats and Republicans.
“Embarrassing,” wrote one user on social media.
“So weird,” claimed another.
“Not quite sure what’s so damn funny,” posted a contributor to the Wall Street Journal.
