Another innocent American has been brutalized on New York City’s dangerous subway system, this time a man in his 30s who was stabbed in the stomach during an attempted robbery in broad daylight. The victim, bleeding and disoriented, initially screamed “I got shot” as he collapsed outside Trinity Church near Wall Street station after somehow escaping the southbound No. 4 train where he was attacked around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the New York Post, the masked teenage perpetrator fled the scene when the train pulled into Wall Street station, leaving behind a trail of blood on the platform and another shattered life in his wake. Tour bus worker Orin Davidson, who witnessed the aftermath and called 911, described the horrific scene: “There was blood around his mouth and nose. He said, ‘I got shot’ and then he collapsed.” The victim was rushed to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, but the psychological trauma will last far longer.
This is what happens when liberal politicians coddle criminals and abandon law-abiding citizens. The numbers don’t lie: subway robberies have exploded by 21 percent compared to last year, with 128 muggings recorded on trains and buses as of April 5th. These aren’t just statistics – they represent real Americans whose lives have been turned upside down by violent predators emboldened by soft-on-crime policies.
Even seasoned New Yorkers are shocked by how far their city has fallen. “It’s highly disturbing because nothing of that sort has happened here before,” Davidson said. “Financial District? You don’t expect something like that to happen here.” But under the current leadership, nowhere is safe anymore. From Times Square to Wall Street, violent crime is spreading like wildfire through America’s greatest city while politicians turn a blind eye to the carnage they’ve enabled.
