The Supreme Court recently ruled on numerous cases which undermined the Democrat’s radical left-wing polices and since the Democrats can’t win on the law, now they want to pack the Supreme Court in order to get their way.
Over 100 lawmakers in the Congressional Progressive Caucus have decided the right thing do now is expand the Supreme Court. Over the weekend, the lawmakers decided they want reforms to the court such as term limits and a new code of conduct. This temper tantrum from the Democrats is all because the Supreme Court decided that race-based admission policies for college is clearly unconstitutional and that the President doesn’t have the power to simply forgive all student loans in America.
The Democrats decided to reintroduce the bill, The Supreme Court Term Limits and Regular Appointments Act, which would make all justices subject to an 18 year term limit. According to Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, “We cannot allow six extremist, unelected activists to continue to do the bidding of billionaire Republican donors from the bench. This illegitimate Supreme Court has become a cesspool of corruption and is in urgent need of reform. It’s time to end lifetime appointments to the Supreme Court.”
In a predictable fashion, recently censured Rep. Adam Schiff tweeted, “Expanding the size of the Supreme Court isn’t extreme or unprecedented — but the opinions of this Court certainly are.”
Biden has yet to comment on his parties interest in packing the Supreme Court only adding “this is not a normal court,” during an interview with MSNBC adding the potential to “politicize it maybe forever in a way that is not healthy, that you can’t get back.”
