New York City Mayor Eric Adams now believes the migrant surge sweeping the Big Apple will cost local taxpayers upwards of $12 billion by July 2025.

Roughly 100,000 illegal immigrants have arrived in NYC since last spring, with 60,000 currently relying on the government for food and shelter.

“If we don’t get the support we need, New Yorkers could be left with a $12-billion bill,” Mayor Eric Adams said.

“They come to work, to contribute to our city and our nation’s success,” Adams added. “But the scenes outside the Roosevelt may sadly become more common if we don’t get the support we need.”

“It can be something as simple as the meal, if we can save you know $1 or $2 on the meal,” Adams said. “We can save on the laundry because you know the sheets have to be cleaned.”
