The White House released new details this week of the CIA drone-strike that eliminated al Qaeda mastermind Ayman al -Zawahiri.

The terror chieftain was killed on his private balcony in Kabul, Afghanistan. He assumed control of the worldwide terror network in 2011 after the death of Osama bin Laden.

“At this meeting, the President was briefed on the proposed operation and shown a model of the safe house where Al-Zawahri was hiding,” the White House said in a statement.

“We make it clear again tonight that no matter how long it takes, no matter where you hide, if you are a threat to our people, the United States will find you and take you out,” said President Biden.

The operation is the first publicly acknowledge anti-terror mission in Afghanistan since the complete withdrawal of US forces last year.
