A Super Bowl–adjacent advertisement spotlighting ‘Trump accounts’ will air Sunday as part of a broader effort to raise awareness of the new pilot program. The commercial, funded by Invest America — a nonprofit advocacy organization — is scheduled to run during the pregame broadcast ahead of the matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Invest America released a preview of the ad Thursday on X.
The 30-second spot features children explaining the benefits of the so-called Trump accounts, formally known as 530A accounts, which were established under President Donald Trump’s “big beautiful bill.” Invest America released a sneak peek on X.
“This year, every American child gets an investment account. And millions will be prefunded. That’s free money,” children say in a montage while speaking directly to the camera.
Super Bowl 60, airing on NBC, represents some of the most valuable advertising space of the year, drawing millions of viewers — many of whom tune in specifically for the commercials.
Ad prices continue to climb annually. Following last year’s Super Bowl between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs, which drew a record 127.7 million viewers, the average cost of a 30-second ad increased to $8 million this year, CNBC reported.
Beginning with the start of tax season on Jan. 26, parents and guardians can open a Trump account by making the appropriate elections on IRS Form 4547 when filing their 2025 tax returns. Starting in mid-2026, accounts will also be available for online enrollment through Trumpaccounts.gov.
Children born between 2025 and 2028 qualify for a one-time $1,000 contribution from the U.S. Department of the Treasury, which will be deposited into eligible accounts on July 4.
More than 1 million families have already enrolled, according to a Jan. 31 post from the White House on X.
