Former President Donald Trump ripped Joe Biden on Truth Social Monday morning, saying the current Commander-in-Chief has transformed the United States into a full-fledged “third world nation.”

There can be NO EXCUSES for what is happening on our Southern Border. We are like a Third World Nation, but worse. Our Country is falling apart (in so many other ways, also). Anybody check out our Airports lately?
He then targeted Senator Mitch McConnell.
Great job Kevin! We must now stop Mitch McConnell and his China flagrant boss, Coco Chow. It’s as though he just doesn’t care anymore, he pushes through anything the Democrats want. The $1.7 TRILLION quickly approved Bill of the week before was HORRIBLE. Zero for USA Border Security. If he waited just ten days, the now “United Republican Congress” could have made it MUCH BETTER, or KILLED IT. Something is wrong with McConnell, and those Republican Senators that Vote with him. PRIMARY THEM ALL!!!
I doubt many people even know the definition of “third world”, or how it came to be. Nowadays, trump and those like-minded simply use the term as a derogative for poor or “developing” countries. Or in the words of trump himself, “$hithole countries.” It’s too bad that many people in America have stopped showing compassion for those less fortunate. American corporations regularly exploit foreign labor (including children) and the foreign natural resources. And they do it to line the pockets of the already wealthy here in America.
The bootstrap crowd simply won’t accept that they may be partially responsible for the woes of people in other countries. They just want cheap goods lining the shelves of the local walmart.

Who are the “bootstrap crowd ” please?
The bootstrap crowd is those people who believe that anyone who requires assistance simply isn’t working hard enough, are lazy and entitled, or came to their situation in life because of their own flawed decisions (read: morality). Sometimes these beliefs are true, but many times they are not. Accidents happen, bad decisions can be made in good faith, and international politics can decimate the populations of people abroad (and here!). The bootstrappers will never acknowledge that the decisions made by people in power (read: wealthy) may be responsible for the poor conditions of people in less fortunate positions. They believe that wealthy people earned everything they have by working harder than everyone else. They discount generational wealth, the policies that support wealth, and even the randomness of blind luck.
The ironic part is that to “pull oneself up by one’s bootstraps” originally referred to an impossible task. You cannot literally pull yourself up by pulling on your bootstraps! It has since changed to mean “improve one’s position by one’s own efforts”, but the irony of the original meaning cannot be ignored.
