During a video livestream, former President Donald Trump declared that from all the current Republican presidential candidates, it’s highly unlikely that any of them will serve as his vice president if he wins the Republican nomination.
In the livestream, Trump classified his fellow Republican presidential candidates as “job candidates” and even despite their wishes, he wouldn’t want any of them serving as vice president. Trump made this announcement in classic Trump style, during the Republican presidential debate taking place at the same time in California at the Reagan Presidential Library while Trump held a massive rally in Clinton Township, Michigan.
“We’re competing with the job candidates – they’re all running for a job,” Trump said jokingly. “No, they’re all job candidates. They want to be in the — they want to, they’ll do anything, secretary of something, they even say VP.”
“Does anybody see the VP in the group? I don’t think so,” he said.
The former president decided not to attend yet another Republican presidential debate because he is leading his “job candidates” by a whopping 42.2% according to the latest RealClearPolitics average of polls.
While the Republicans were debating in California, Trump took his message directly to the working class American. He held his rally in Michigan with many United Auto Workers Union members in attendance. He continually blasted President Joe Biden for his disgraceful leadership on the ongoing strike, citing the unnecessary push for electric vehicles when American’s don’t want them. Trump claimed the push towards all electric is a “hit job” on Detroit and the entire auto industry in America.
“Biden’s mandate isn’t a government regulation. It’s a government assassination of your jobs and of your industry. The auto industry is being assassinated, and it makes no difference what you get,” Trump said loudly to the many people in attendance, receiving a large applause.
