Senator Lindsey Graham called-out Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson during her Supreme Court confirmation hearings Wednesday; saying it’s a “good” thing that people transmitting child pornography can go to prison for 50 years.
“On the internet, with one click, you can distribute tens of thousands [of child porn pictures]. You can be doing this for 15 minutes and all of a sudden, you are looking at 30, 40, 50 years in prison,” said Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson.
“Good!” interrupted Sen. Graham. “Absolutely good. I hope you go to jail for 50 years if you’re on the internet trolling for images of children.”
Republicans have focused on the potential Justice’s lenient record when sentencing people accused of owning or transferring sexual exploitative images of children.
