HUD Secretary Scott Turner returned to the Texas Hill Country to explain how his agency is helping rebuild and recover after the deadly floods there.
“Give me the update on what you’re seeing today,” began Joe Pags.
“Today, I was able to visit with a lot of the First Responders, rescue professionals, and people that are providing different services to the families there,” explained the Secretary.
“I also got to see the devastation. It’s just remarkable how the river came through and uprooted 100-year-old trees. Entire structures are just gone. It’s very heartbreaking, but to see the resiliency in the hearts of the people, it was very encouraging to me,” added Turner.
