Actor Dennis Quaid is part of a group of Hollywood A-listers pushing to make Texas the film capital of the world. Can it be done? And we go down memory lane!
“I’ve been promoting this industry in Texas,” explained Quaid. “There’s plenty of land and resources. It’s perfect for filmmaking.”
“California is too restrictive. It’s too expensive, there are too many regulations and rules. It’s cheaper to shoot in places like New Mexico, Louisiana, and Georgia,” he added. “They all have incentive programs.”
“All this money goes to electricians, carpenters, drivers, hotels, hotel staff, the restaurants, everybody benefits,” said the actor.
