In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Ivanka Trump said she “does not plan to be involved in politics,” supports her father’s reelection campaign but has decided to prioritize her young children and family.

In the interview, Ivanka Trump said “I love my father very much. This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family, I do not plan to be involved in politics.”

“While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena. I am grateful to have had the honor of serving the American people and will always be proud of many of our administration’s accomplishments,” she said.

The interview took place shortly after President Trump announced his reelection campaign on Tuesday night and she was not present at Mar-a-Lago when he announced.

Ivanka Trump explained she remains “extremely close” with her father and “that hasn’t changed and will never change. I’ve had many roles over the years but that of daughter is one of the most elemental and consequential. I am loving this time with my kids, loving life in Miami and the freedom and privacy with having returned to the private sector. This has been one of the greatest times of my life.”

After her and husband Jared Kushner served four years in Washington, D.C. in the Trump administration, they have moved to Miami to focus on family. “My kids are thriving, and I want to maintain this cadence — this rhythm — at this point in our family’s life,” adding “time is fleeting, and every parent will tell you it really does go by so quickly.”

Ivanka Trump was a senior advisor to the President and championed economic policies supporting working families, doubling the child tax credit, financial support with child, and paid family leave.

A friend of Ivanka’s told Fox News Digital, “She feels proud of what she was able to accomplish, but she has no nostalgia for Washington.”

After Ivanka left her role in the government, she has focused mainly on philanthropic efforts such as helping farmers in the U.S., food insecurity and various disaster relief causes.
