President Joe Biden has kept a low-profile over the past few days as an all out war breaks out with Palestine and Israel after hundreds of rockets were fired into Israel by Hamas.  We are now finding out the real reason President Biden was absent and that was due to a “voluntary interview” between the President and a special counsel investigation.

Israel is facing massive loss of life in the past few days and has declared war against Hamas.  The State Department has confirmed that at least 11 Americans were killed in the massive attack and American’s are looking toward the President to lead.  Rather than leadership and strength, Biden was absent and preoccupied on Sunday and Monday telling the press that a lid was called for the rest of the days before lunch.

Of course, rather than the White House being up front about Biden’s absence, days later they announced the reason for Biden being unavailable hidden between major news coverage of the Israel attacks. The White House spokesman, Ian Sams, released a statement with the explanation, “The President has been interviewed as part of the investigation being led by Special Counsel Robert Hur. The voluntary interview was conducted at the White House over two days, Sunday and Monday, and concluded Monday.”

“As we have said from the beginning, the President and the White House are cooperating with this investigation, and as it has been appropriate, we have provided relevant updates publicly, being as transparent as we can consistent with protecting and preserving the integrity of the investigation. We would refer other questions to the Justice Department at this time,” according to the statement.

In January, Special Counsel Robert Hur was appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland regarding news of classified documents being discovered at President Biden’s offices located at the Penn Biden Center earlier last year.  After a more thorough search, more classified documents were discovered in Biden’s garage at his home in Wilmington, Delaware next to his car.

The last we heard about any sit down with the Special Counsel was months ago at which time the President was negotiating terms for an interview.  Biden is the main person of interest for the Special Counsel and a recent “voluntary interview” would normally signal the upcoming end of the investigation.
