President of the Crime Prevention Research Center John Lott spoke with Joe Pags Thursday to discuss real solutions to solve the rising rates of gun violence in the United States.
“They really want to get rid of all guns, but they go after the ones that are the easiest to demonize,” explained Lott.
“The key thing when we’re talking about the AR-15 is ‘military style’. The keyword is ‘style.’ They’re not military weapons,” he added.
“Calling them assault weapons is simply a political term,” concluded Lott.
